Automatics Operator - Now Hiring

Our client, Manufacturing is seeking a Automatics Operator to join their team. As a Automatics Operator, you will be part of the Production team supporting Manufacturing Operations. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to safety, a focus on quality, and the drive to continuously improve processes—skills that will help you succeed in a fast-paced, precision-focused environment.

Job Title: Automatics Operator

Location: Grantsburg, WI

Pay Range: $25.00-$28.00/hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd

What's the Job?

• Maintain a positive, professional attitude while following safety best practices, including wearing appropriate PPE, practicing Behavior Based Safety, and performing LOTO.
• Operate, set up, and adjust multi-spindle automatic screw machines and/or NoCAMs to produce parts accurately and efficiently.
• Plan operational sequences by selecting spindle speeds, collets, tooling, tool arrangement and clearances, feed rates, cams, and settings for both new/unusual work and standardized variations when not prescribed.
• Set up tooling and machine settings to perform operations such as face, form, turn, drill, ream, bore, tap, thread, and cut off stock up to machine capacity; set tooling offsets and adjust computer readings.
• Produce pilot pieces for first piece verification, make adjustments to correct variances, and ensure parts meet dimensional and finish specifications while minimizing burrs.

What's Needed?

• Ability to work from drawings, engineering specifications, layouts, and operating instructions, using advanced shop mathematics and handbook formulas.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and the ability to perform first article inspection and ongoing quality checks throughout production.
• Some shop trade knowledge in a specialized field or process equivalent to one to three years of trade training.
• Must be able to do tool grinding and sharpening.
• High school diploma or GED.
