Description

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Physical Security Access Control Project Coordinator to support the enterprise-wide implementation of a new badge access control system. This role will provide hands-on support during deployment, assisting with badge provisioning, access validation, door testing, user training, and coordination with facility teams. The ideal candidate is technically savvy, highly trainable, and comfortable traveling to various facilities to support system rollout activities.

This is a project-based position with an anticipated duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

Support the deployment of a new enterprise physical security badge access control system.

Conduct on-site testing and validation of badge readers, doors, and access permissions.

Verify door numbers, badge reader assignments, and access configurations.

Assist with importing and validating security access data using Excel spreadsheets.

Provide end-user support and training, including badge printing and access-related troubleshooting.

Work with facility staff and administrators to ensure proper system setup and functionality.

Test and validate integrations with systems such as:

Motorola physical security badge readers

Omnicell access readers

Imprivata authentication solutions

Document findings, report issues, and support resolution efforts during implementation.

Coordinate with installation vendors responsible for reader installation, wiring, and system configuration.

Provide hands-on support during key project milestones, including go-live events and facility rollouts.

Travel to various facilities as required to support implementation activities.

Required Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes.

Comfortable working in a hands-on support environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.

Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems.

Ability to work independently while supporting project teams and end users.

Willingness and ability to travel to project locations as needed.

Duration: 12-month contract

The successful candidate is a quick learner who enjoys helping others, is comfortable working directly with users and technology, and can effectively support a large-scale security system implementation. This individual does not need deep security engineering experience but should be technically capable, adaptable, organized, and eager to learn.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
