Our Resale Store plays an important role in supporting that mission by generating revenue that helps fund Harvest House programs and services.

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and mission-minded Resale Store Lead – Opening Shift to help oversee daily store operations and support our employees and volunteers.

Position Overview

The Resale Store Lead is a hands-on leadership position responsible for helping ensure the Resale Store operates safely, efficiently, and consistently.

This position serves as an Opening Shift Lead and plays an important role in preparing the store and team for daily operations.

Working under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Store Lead provides day-to-day leadership to employees and volunteers, supports both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, and helps maintain Harvest House standards for customer service, donation processing, merchandising, safety, and operational accountability.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people while also being willing to work alongside the team wherever needed.

Set Work Schedule

This position has a set opening-shift schedule. Applicants must be available to work the full schedule below:

• Monday: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: Off
• Friday: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:15 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: Off

Saturday availability is required for this position.

What You'll Do

As a Resale Store Lead, you will:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to Resale Store employees and volunteers.
• Lead and support opening procedures and ensure the store is prepared for daily operations.
• Ensure established operational procedures and leadership expectations are consistently followed.
• Support register operations, cash-handling procedures, and daily accountability.
• Help coordinate the receipt, sorting, processing, pricing, and movement of donated merchandise.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and productive sales floor and donation-processing area.
• Ensure merchandise is appropriately prepared, priced, displayed, and rotated.
• Provide excellent customer and donor service while representing Harvest House professionally.
• Help train, coach, and support employees and volunteers.
• Delegate daily assignments and help ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Identify operational or personnel concerns and communicate them promptly to the Director of Operations.
• Reinforce Harvest House policies, procedures, safety expectations, and standards of conduct.
• Assist with maintaining clean and unobstructed work areas, walkways, donation areas, and storage spaces.
• Help create an environment of teamwork, accountability, consistency, and respect.
• Step into different areas of store operations as needed to support the team and accomplish the mission.

• Previous retail, resale, customer-service, or related experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position in a resale environment. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, and perform routine physical activities associated with retail and donation operations.
