Angel Water is growing our service team and is looking for a reliable, mechanically skilled Field Service Technician to serve customers throughout the Naperville, Aurora, and surrounding Southwest Chicago suburbs.
You’ll work directly with homeowners and businesses to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair water treatment and filtration equipment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, figuring out how things work, solving problems in the field, and helping customers.
Water treatment experience is helpful but not required. We welcome applicants with hands-on experience in plumbing, HVAC, mechanical maintenance, field service, equipment installation and repair, appliance repair, facilities maintenance, or similar skilled trades. We provide training on our water treatment systems and equipment.

What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, and service residential and commercial water treatment systems
- Diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, and equipment-related problems
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine system inspections
- Work with water softeners, filtration equipment, reverse osmosis systems, pumps, piping, valves, and related components
- Use hand and power tools to complete installations and repairs
- Explain equipment operation and service needs clearly to customers
- Help customers understand available water-quality solutions
- Recommend appropriate repairs, products, services, or equipment upgrades when needed
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate completed work
- Provide professional, respectful service while working in customers’ homes and businesses
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with repair, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, or mechanical equipment
- Comfortable working independently and using hand and power tools
- Background in water treatment, plumbing, HVAC, field service, facilities maintenance, appliance repair, equipment repair, construction, or another mechanical trade preferred
- Water softener, reverse osmosis, filtration, pump, piping, or valve experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable speaking with homeowners and explaining repairs and recommendations
- Customer service experience preferred
- Sales or upselling experience is helpful but not required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to perform physical field work, including lifting, bending, carrying tools, and working around equipment
- Available for rotating Saturdays and occasional emergency service calls
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Able to pass a background check
