Service Advisor

The Service Advisor supports an independent repair shop and fleet service operation serving general passenger vehicles. Reporting to the Fixed Operations Director, this role guides customers through the service process, recommends needed maintenance and repairs, manages work orders, and helps ensure a high-quality experience. This position offers a growth path toward Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and coordinate vehicle service intake.
• Assess service needs and recommend appropriate maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates and write repair orders.
• Manage work orders from authorization through completion.
• Provide timely customer updates on service progress and findings.
• Schedule maintenance and coordinate service appointments.
• Support quality assurance throughout the repair process.
• Review invoices for accuracy before customer delivery.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in automotive service advising.

• Automotive service or business coursework.
• Experience with dealer management systems.
