Function4 is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Setup & Delivery Driver to set up and deliver office technology equipment to customer locations. This position combines delivery driving, equipment installation, basic technology setup, and customer service. Position Summary
As a Setup & Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting copiers, printers, and related office technology products to customer locations. You will assist with equipment installation, perform basic network connectivity tasks, train users on simple machine operations, and ensure every delivery is completed professionally and accurately.
This role is a critical part of the customer experience and serves as a direct representation of Function4 at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Installation
- Safely transport copiers, printers, and office equipment to customer locations.
- Load, unload, and secure equipment using proper lifting and transportation techniques.
- Verify equipment, serial numbers, and accessories against delivery documentation.
- Place and install equipment in designated customer locations.
- Remove and return replaced equipment when required.
- Obtain customer signatures and complete all required paperwork.
Equipment Setup
- Configure equipment according to customer specifications.
- Install accessories, trays, finishers, and other hardware components.
- Perform quality assurance checks before and after delivery.
- Ensure all equipment is operational and ready for customer use.
- Verify connectivity and complete basic network setup when applicable.
Customer Service
- Create a positive customer experience during every delivery.
- Answer basic operational questions and provide introductory equipment instruction.
- Communicate professionally with customers, sales representatives, service technicians, and internal teams.
- Escalate technical, site, or customer concerns appropriately.
Vehicle & Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and professional delivery vehicle.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Follow OSHA-approved lifting and material handling practices.
- Safely operate lift gates, stair climbers, dollies, and moving equipment.
Warehouse Support
- Assist with inventory organization and equipment staging.
- Help prepare equipment for upcoming deliveries.
- Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities.
Preferred
- Experience delivering and installing copiers, printers, or office technology equipment.
- Experience operating box trucks or commercial delivery vehicles.
- Basic computer and networking knowledge.
- Warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience.
- TWIC card or industrial site access certifications are a plus.
