Roofing Supervisor

Experienced Roofer with Sales Background

Seeking an experienced roofer with a sales background to join our team.

We are looking for someone with extensive hands-on roofing knowledge who can inspect roofs, diagnose problems, recommend and perform repairs, conduct detailed site surveys, and confidently communicate solutions to customers.

This position is ideal for an experienced roofing professional who understands the technical side of the business but also has the communication and sales skills necessary to work directly with homeowners and close jobs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed roof inspections and site surveys
• Identify leaks, damage, installation issues, and necessary repairs
• Evaluate roofs for repair versus full replacement
• Take measurements, photographs, and document existing conditions
• Develop accurate scopes of work for roofing projects
• Meet with homeowners to discuss inspection findings and recommended solutions
• Provide estimates and explain roofing and repair options
• Generate and close roofing sales
• Follow up with customers and prospective customers
• Perform or assist with roof repairs when necessary
• Inspect completed work and help ensure quality standards are met
• Identify additional construction or repair needs while on-site
• Coordinate job details with office and installation crews
• Assist with troubleshooting roofing issues before, during, and after installation

Required Experience

• Several years of hands-on roofing experience
• Strong knowledge of roof repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting
• Experience with asphalt shingle roofing and common residential roofing systems
• General construction and home improvement knowledge
• Ability to safely access and inspect roofs
• Experience conducting roofing site surveys and taking accurate measurements
• Ability to identify flashing, ventilation, decking, leak, and installation issues
• Previous sales or customer-facing experience
• Ability to confidently explain roofing problems and solutions to homeowners
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a roofer first, with the ability to sell.

We want someone who can get on a roof, understand exactly what they are looking at, identify problems, determine the proper solution, and clearly explain that solution to the homeowner.

You should be comfortable working independently in the field and taking ownership of a customer from the initial inspection and site survey through the sale and completion of the project.

This is not an entry-level roofing or sales position. Previous hands-on roofing experience is required.

Compensation

Base Salary: $65,000–$85,000 per year, based on experience

PLUS commissions on deals sold.

This position provides a strong base salary along with the opportunity to significantly increase total earnings through commissions on roofing and construction projects sold.

Total earning potential is based on individual sales performance, with significant upside for an experienced roofer who can identify opportunities and close deals.
