We’re opening a new Firelands Federal Credit Union branch, and we’re looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer and people leader who is excited about the opportunity to help us build something from the ground up.

This isn’t your typical Branch Manager position.

We’re looking for someone who brings strong mortgage lending experience, understands how to develop lasting relationships, and is ready to take the lead in growing a new branch within the community. You’ll have the opportunity to combine your lending expertise with branch leadership—developing your team, growing relationships, and helping members find financial solutions that make a meaningful difference.

???? What You’ll Do

In this unique dual role, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day operations and overall success of a new branch

• Develop, coach, and support a strong, member-focused team

• Build relationships and establish Firelands FCU within the local community

• Identify opportunities to grow branch membership, deposits, loans, and relationships

• Originate mortgage loans and guide members through the home lending process

• Develop mortgage business through community involvement, referrals, networking, and relationship building

• Identify additional lending and financial opportunities based on each member’s individual needs

• Create an exceptional member experience and set the standard for your team

• Build relationships with local businesses, community partners, real estate professionals, and other referral sources

• Ensure branch operations meet established expectations for service, compliance, productivity, and performance

???? The Experience We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who already understands mortgage lending and is ready to bring that experience into a broader leadership opportunity.

Our ideal candidate brings:

• Previous Mortgage Loan Officer experience

• Strong knowledge of mortgage lending, origination, and the overall lending process

• Proven ability to develop business and build a strong referral network

• Leadership, supervisory, or team development experience

• Experience working toward production, sales, or growth goals

• A relationship-focused approach—you enjoy discovering what people need and finding the right solution

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships both inside and outside the Credit Union

• A genuine interest in being involved in the community and helping grow a new market

• The ability to balance mortgage production with the leadership and operational responsibilities of managing a branch
