Customer Support Representative

As a member of the Customer Contact Center, the Customer Service Representative is to be the first point of contact for all customers with the company. They work to ensure all customer concerns are served, including account maintenance, billing inquiries, ordering products, and general contact with the company. They have primary responsibility for handling incoming calls from customers and providing excellent customer service related to product delivery. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by taking information for orders of heating oil, diesel, gasoline, and biofuels.
• Provide customer service by verifying and updating account information, troubleshooting and/or solving basic account-related problems, managing displeased callers, escalating issues as appropriate, providing accurate information on products and services, answering general inquiries, and offering value-added services.
• Reduce company exposure by performing soft collections when customers call and forwarding them to the appropriate Credit Representative as necessary.
• Process customer payments.
• Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity. 

Education and experience

• Flexibility in scheduling may be required for certain CSR positions.
• Necessary skills and background
• Completion of high school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Computer proficiency, particularly web applications, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office.
• Solid time management skills.

• Prior fuel company experience is desired.
