Job Title: Shipping Receiving Specialist 

Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA

Pay Range: $18.000 + - DOE

Shift: 1st Shift 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Duties:

• Pull, pack and ship finished goods according to the ship list
• Check products for defects and accuracy
• Ensure that serial and batch numbers match the product, incoming & outgoing
• Verify accuracy of orders by matching them with quantities and types
• Ensure safe handling & packaging procedures are followed to avoid damage
• Follow customer requirements regarding packaging & shipping protocols & methods
• Prepare and paste labels on shipments as needed
• Make sure that items are loaded onto shipment vehicle in a safe and timely manner
• Safety operate forklift to transport or move large aerospace parts
• Safety operate overhead crane to load &/or unload large aerospace parts
• Occasional construction of shipping containers and pallets required
• Ensure that the warehouse is cleaned and maintained at all times
• Help as needed within the department with Receiving duties or assist production as needed

 Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience working in Shipping/Receiving capacity required
• Experience working with raw material such as aluminium 
• Overhead Crane and Forklift experience required
• Ability to work independently and honestly and also support team members
• Must display good character and work with integrity
• Aircraft or Manufacturing Warehouse experience required
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions:

• First Shift: 8:30am - 4:30pm
• Some overtime may be necessary with or without notice
• Ability to regularly and frequently lift 50 pounds
• Frequent exposure to high and cold temperatures
• Must be able to wear safety PPE equipment, as required. Noise levels may require hearing protection.  
• The essential duties job may require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, and to walk for extended periods of time;
• to push and/or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds;
• to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds;
• to use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects;
• to perceive the attributes of objects by touch; to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others in the office.  
• Frequently being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climb stairs and kneeling and/or crouch to retrieve items.
• Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment.
• Writing to complete reports and service requests.  
• Occasionally Lifting and carrying (with assistance) items weighing 75-150 lbs.
