Maintenance Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join a prominent Heat Treating facility. This role requires hands-on experience with heavy industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, proactive in preventative maintenance, and able to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and heat-treating equipment
• Diagnose and repair issues involving hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, and mechanical components
• Conduct welding and light fabrication to maintain and modify equipment as needed
• Maintain furnaces, quench tanks, cooling systems, and other heat treating machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment records
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing or heat treating environment
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, mechanical systems, and welding/fabrication
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and industrial safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in high-temperature environments, and operate industrial tools/equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with furnace or heat treating equipment maintenance
• Basic electrical troubleshooting (a plus)
• Forklift or crane certification
