Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL Driver for a temporary assignment supporting current staffing needs. The driver will be based out of our Carlsbad location and will be responsible for completing assigned routes and delivering fresh produce to multiple vendors.

This position involves touch freight, including loading and unloading product using manual pallet jacks and electric pallet jacks, including equipment provided by Dolly.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Complete assigned routes efficiently and on time.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.
• Maintain accurate delivery and log documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
• Safely move and handle fresh produce using manual and electric pallet jacks.
• Operate a 53' reefer trailer as required.
• Maintain a professional and safety-focused approach while completing deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
• Experience operating similar equipment within the last 3 years.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to work early morning shifts with start times between 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
• Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed.
• Ability to perform touch-freight duties and safely handle product.
• Strong reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday from the Carlsbad location.

Additional Information

This is a temporary position intended to fill current staffing needs, with an expected duration of 3 months or longer. Overtime is paid after 8 hours worked per day. Candidates should be comfortable with schedule variability, early morning start times, touch freight, and overtime requirements.
