Service Representative-Delivery Driver
Position Summary
The Service Representative is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of parts, supplies, and equipment to customers while providing exceptional customer service. This position serves as a key point of contact between the company and its customers, ensuring orders are delivered safely, efficiently, and professionally. The Service Representative also assists with order verification, vehicle maintenance, inventory handling, and supporting warehouse operations as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver parts, supplies, and equipment to customer locations in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Verify delivery orders for accuracy prior to departure.
- Obtain customer signatures and other required documentation upon delivery.
- Load and unload parts and materials while ensuring products are secure and protected from damage.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Communicate delivery updates, delays, or customer concerns to management.
- Assist customers with basic questions regarding orders, products, and services.
- Maintain delivery records, logs, and required documentation.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure company vehicles remain clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic regulations.
- Assist with warehouse duties including stocking, organizing inventory, receiving shipments, and preparing orders when not making deliveries.
- Support operational needs and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow delivery schedules, maps, and GPS directions.
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred
- Previous delivery, courier, warehouse, or customer service experience.
- Knowledge of Hardware Parts and Products
- Experience using inventory management systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
