Kitchen Design Assistant

Job Summary:

The Design Assistant’s primary function is to provide support to department associates and general customer service to telephone and walk-in clients.

Schedule:

• In Office, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with 30-60 minute lunch break

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Utilize knowledge of department practices and procedures to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:

• Get quotes and pricing on cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, hardware and create customer proposals
• Place orders, review confirmations and create purchase orders with accurate pricing based on customer proposals
• Schedule templates according to cabinet order delivery schedule and customer needs
• Attend templates and installs at customers homes/construction site
• Schedule deliveries including necessary paperwork and design information
• Calculate and follow-up on any balance due on orders once job is completed
• Process returns and order replacement parts if needed
• Update 20/20 programs and pricing programs on associates’ computers
• Keep showroom samples and literature updated
• Assist with showroom phone coverage
• Assist designer with transferring floor plans to 20/20

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word an Excel
• Ability to Multi-Task
• Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills
• Detail-Oriented Team Player

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Experience in cabinet or similar industry
• Experience in 20/20 a plus but not required

 Physical Requirements:

• Aptitude to communicate clearly in person or over the telephone
• Dexterity to stoop, bend, and reach above the head
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
• Capability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
