Workers Compensation Attorney

Major workers’ compensation and personal injury law firm located in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a plaintiff-side Workers’ Compensation Attorney. The attorney will independently manage assigned cases from inception through settlement or trial. This opportunity is open to entry-level candidates through attorneys with 5+ years of experience, with salary dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned plaintiff-side workers’ compensation cases independently from inception through settlement or trial.
• Conduct client intake and evaluate case information.
• Perform legal research and support case strategy.
• Manage discovery and motion practice.
• Prepare cases for settlement and negotiate settlements.
• Represent clients at hearings.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience practicing workers’ compensation law.
• Experience handling workers’ compensation matters.
• Entry-level experience in workers’ compensation law.
• Background in Workers’ Compensation Law.
