Position Overview
As a Chemical Operator, you'll play a critical role in safely manufacturing chemical products while ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with GMP and OSHA standards. This is a hands-on position where you'll work with reactors, pumps, tanks, raw materials, and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
No advanced chemistry knowledge is required. We're looking for individuals with some manufacturing or chemical experience who are eager to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate reactors, pumps, tanks, and other production equipment
- Weigh, verify, and charge raw materials into production vessels
- Monitor manufacturing processes and adjust equipment as needed
- Transfer finished products into storage tanks and containers
- Complete batch documentation and production records accurately
- Follow GMP, FDA, OSHA, and company safety procedures
- Assist with product quality checks and process improvements
- Operate forklifts, lifts, and material handling equipment
- Help maintain inventory levels and production supplies
- Support chemists and engineers with manufacturing activities
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
What We're Looking For
- Some experience in chemical manufacturing, batching, mixing, production, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or industrial operations
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour schedule
- Ability to work on your feet throughout the shift
- Comfortable lifting and moving materials as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and enjoys learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience
- GMP experience
- Experience working with reactors, pumps, tanks, mixers, or production equipment
- Basic computer and math skills
Schedule
12-Hour Rotating Shift
- Alternating 36-hour and 48-hour workweeks
- Day and night shift rotation
- Consistent full-time hours
- Overtime opportunities available
Training Schedule (First 4-6 Weeks):
- Monday-Friday
- 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Paid training at starting rate
