Transportation Coordinator - Manufacturing

We're looking for someone who

● Has a high school diploma or equivalent (post-graduate coursework preferred)

● Has 5–8 years of hands-on experience working with parcel, LTL, and truckload carriers

● Has advanced knowledge of traffic and transportation procedures and policies

● Is proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

● Has strong analytical skills and experience solving problems across a variety of situations

● Demonstrates sound judgment when selecting methods and techniques to develop

solutions

● Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing

● Has strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze transportation costs, rates, and

performance

What you'll do

● Provide advanced support to the Traffic function by researching transportation methods

and auditing carrier costs and performance

● Maintain the security queue and ensure transportation-related issues are addressed

appropriately

● Analyze company and customer needs to identify the lowest-cost transportation options

● Conduct RFI/RFQ analysis, freight audits, and freight market analysis

● Maintain detailed logs and compile information on routes, rates, services, and

transportation vendors

● Create and deliver presentations to internal and external customers and contacts

● Research transportation data to support operational and cost-saving decisions

● Analyze carrier performance and identify opportunities for improvement

● Assist with resolving complex and escalated transportation issues

● Support the Traffic team with additional analytical and operational needs as required

Physical requirements

● Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods

● Must be able to use a computer, keyboard, and other standard office equipment regularly

● Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through written

communication

● Must be able to occasionally move throughout an office or work environment as needed
