CNC Operator (All Shifts Available)

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay Range: $18.50 – $21.50 per hour (based on shift)

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently according to established production procedures.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely.
  • Quality Inspection: Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and precision equipment.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blue prints, engineering drawings, and structural work instructions.
  • Adjustments & Setup: Monitor ongoing machine operations, perform basic tool adjustments, and execute minor setups or tooling changes.
  • Communication: Identify quality non-conformances and immediately communicate problems to supervisors.
  • Documentation & Safety: Maintain accurate production and inspection logs while keeping the workspace meticulously clean and safe. [1, 2, 3]

Position Requirements

  • Experience: Previous CNC machine operating or industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and use foundational measuring tools (calipers/micrometers).
  • Physical Ability: Comfortable standing for extended periods and safely lifting materials as required by the production cycle.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, reliable attendance habits, and a proactive work ethic.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. [1, 2]

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus, But Not Required)

  • Specific CNC mill or CNC lathe operating experience.
  • Direct experience handling machine setups and tooling configurations.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) rules.
