CT Technologist Position Overview
The CT Technologist performs vital diagnostic imaging services for both inpatient and outpatient care. This role is executed under the direction of a Radiologist, following established departmental protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT scans of the head, brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.
- Perform basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable imaging, C-arm procedures, and operating room imaging services.
- Demonstrate proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning, including biopsy and drainage procedures.
- Handle imaging system processing and maintain knowledge of surgical and sterile procedures.
- Utilize contrast media as necessary while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Graduation from an accredited AMA program.
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in the field.
- State licensure as a general radiographer.
The position requires night shifts with a specific focus on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings. Call duty is part of the responsibilities, requiring availability one day per week.
