Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, typically 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. On-call rotation includes weekdays and weekends (every third weekend required, 5-6 weekends total per contract). Approximately 8 days of on-call per month with 30-minute response time. 40 hours per week guaranteed with 2-hour call-back minimum.

Highlights:

• Interventional vascular radiology suite performing peripheral angiography/venography with intervention, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, neuro-intervention including acute stroke management, and embolization procedures
• Average daily census of 7-10 patients in a 3-room suite within a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital
• Work with Siemens fluoroscopy equipment and utilize Cerner charting system in a well-equipped interventional environment
• Opportunity for first-time travelers with flexible blocked schedule requests considered during interview
• Comprehensive case mix including vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and EKG lead placement
• One week of floating to a sister facility (2 miles away) may be required; free parking provided for travelers

Requirements:

• ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification required – RCIS will not be accepted
• West Virginia State License required (may submit with pending license, but must be active prior to start date)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required; Vascular Intervention certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology required
• Proficiency in sterile technique, PACS, fluoroscopy operation, accurate patient monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only; required October 1 through March 31)
• Candidates must reside 100 miles or more from the facility (60-99 miles may be submitted for case-by-case approval)
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last employment date before returning as a traveler
