Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (appropriate for K-5)
• Experience working with students who have significant cognitive disabilities
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
• Knowledge of a variety of teaching strategies and adaptive technologies
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with support staff and families
• Ability to maintain patience, compassion, and flexibility in a dynamic classroom setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students in self-contained moderate/severe classrooms (K-3 and 3-5)

• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support student goals
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress aligned with IEP objectives
