Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for an elementary self-contained classroom. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an educator passionate about supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities while helping them achieve their academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP – End of School Year (EOSY)
On-site position
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching License with Mild/Moderate Disabilities authorization required
Previous experience in a self-contained special education classroom preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and special education compliance
Ability to provide individualized instruction and behavioral support
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Implement appropriate academic, behavioral, and functional interventions
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with families, general education teachers, related service providers, and school administrators
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment

Estimated Caseload: 10 Students
