R&D Assembly Technician/Pay rate: $30/hr.

Job Description:

Position Overview: 

• The R&D Assembly Technician is a hands-on, contract role supporting the development and assembly of medical devices.
• This position will support the execution of early-stage R&D manufacturing builds, working with both manual and semi-automated equipment to assemble intricate, small-scale components.
• The ideal candidate brings a technical mindset, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Perform manual and semi-automated assembly of small, intricate components for early-stage R&D builds 
• Operate and maintain basic manufacturing and inspection equipment in a cleanroom or lab environment 
• Follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and process documentation 
• Record observations, process data, and build outcomes to support engineering analysis 
• Collaborate with engineers to share feedback, suggest improvements, and support process refinement 
• Assist in setup and troubleshooting of assembly fixtures and semi-automated tools 
• Support documentation of learnings, deviations, and process updates as needed
