Assistant Store Manager

Support the Store Manager in leading a small team and managing daily operations for an apparel and accessories store. This role contributes to sales performance, customer service, inventory accuracy, visual presentation, and loss prevention while providing opening and closing coverage as needed. The Assistant Store Manager works within a shared reporting structure with the Store, District, and Regional Managers.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day store operations for apparel and accessories.
• Supervise and coach a small store team.
• Prepare and manage staff shift schedules.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns.
• Drive sales performance and support sales management initiatives.
• Maintain inventory control and accurate stock records.
• Execute visual merchandising standards.
• Manage cash-handling procedures and support loss-prevention efforts.
• Train staff on store procedures, products, and customer service.
• Provide opening and closing coverage as required.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of retail operations and inventory management.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems.
• Experience in visual merchandising and sales management.
• Knowledge of loss prevention and staff scheduling.
• Leadership, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
