Job Description

This rewarding opportunity focuses on supporting a self-contained classroom with an estimated caseload of 10 students who have mild to moderate needs. You’ll play an essential role in shaping academic and personal growth throughout the remainder of the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Special Education teaching credential with Mild/Moderate licensure
- Experience working with elementary students in a self-contained classroom preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and families
- Ability to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction in core academics to students with mild/moderate disabilities
- Develop and manage IEPs, maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to support student success
- Track student progress and adapt teaching methods for optimal learning outcomes
- Provide behavioral and emotional support as needed within the classroom setting
