Special Education Teacher - Lake City, SC

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education professional in a highly specialized contract position serving students aged 12-18. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offers the unique opportunity to work in a psychiatric treatment facility and support a caseload of 15 students with diverse needs. You’ll develop and deliver individualized instruction for learners navigating both educational and clinical environments, utilizing your expertise in severe and intense behavioral challenges.

Your background in special education and experience with students requiring intensive support will help promote growth and progress, providing structure and positivity. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 4, 2027—offering a stable, long-term setting for the right candidate.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Multi Categorical teaching license (required)
• Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
• Demonstrated experience working with students exhibiting severe/intense behavioral needs
• Familiarity with delivering modified grade level instruction
• Knowledge of best practices blending educational goals within a clinical setting
• Adaptability, strong communication skills, and collaborative approach
