Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. Temp role for 90 days, Offering $26-28/hr. Located in San Diego, CA

Responsibilities

• Assist with Special Projects as required/needed.
• Assist with annual audit process.
• Maintain Fixed Assets, vendors, and customers records.
• Match vendor invoices with Purchas Orders and receiving documents.
• Process vendor invoices and weekly check-runs.
• Review and process employee expense reimbursements.
• Reconcile Credit Card statements with receipts.
• Verify all invoices, vouchers, and check requests have appropriate payment approval.
• Reconcile GL accounts as assigned.
• Follow up and resolve vendor/customer account discrepancies.
• Email or mail invoices to customers and make collection calls as assigned.
• Process intercompany billings and transactions.

Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in computer software, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software desired.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, posting, and reconciliation processes required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and area.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
