Special Education Teacher in Rolling Fork, MS

Step into an impactful role supporting young learners as an Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a close-knit caseload of approximately 10 students, helping them thrive academically and socially in an inclusive, encouraging environment. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Mild/Moderate Special Education Licensure required
• Previous experience working in special education or with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Patient, compassionate approach to individualized education
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Effective communicator with students, parents, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and support tailored for a self-contained classroom of students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Develop, monitor, and revise IEP goals based on student needs
• Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment that promotes student growth
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and classroom resources to engage all learners
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate actively in meetings or consultations
• Collaborate with classroom aides, therapists, and other support personnel as needed
