Special Education Teacher - Jersey City, NJ

Qualified candidates will bring:

• Active Students with Disabilities certification for grades K–12
• Relevant experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to develop and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Solid communication and collaboration skills to work with families, colleagues, and support staff

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction based on students’ IEPs and learning needs
• Assessing students’ abilities and progress regularly, adjusting instruction as appropriate
• Working closely with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
• Providing guidance, resources, and support to students with disabilities in classroom settings
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with district/state requirements
• Participating in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Communicating clearly with families about student progress and strategies for continued success
