Job Title

RN II – Emergency Room (CNA Represented)

Location

San Luis Obispo, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for Emergency Department patients across the lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics
• Perform triage, treatment, and discharge care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for documentation and patient management
• Float to an additional facility location as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor – Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or ARC – Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA or ARC – Required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – Required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – Required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Minimum one year of acute care experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent – Required
• Recent EPIC experience – Required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior Emergency Department nursing experience
• Experience working in a CNA-represented environment
