Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a med/surg overflow, post-surgical, and observation unit
• Manage a patient assignment within a 1:6/7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Participate in a unit transitioning to a team nursing model, collaborating with LPN support staff
• Fulfill on-call and weekend obligations as needed per unit staffing requirements
• Float to like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius as operationally required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a valid compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• At least 1 prior completed travel assignment required
• BLS certification required and must be current throughout the assignment
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submission; RTO requests made after an offer is extended may not be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
