Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift 7P – 7A | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit serving patients of all ages
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Cerner EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across cardiology, general surgery, and other specialty services
• Float to other units and fulfill call requirements as needed
• Work every other weekend and additional weekend hours as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid for practice in North Carolina
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• CPI / HWC / MAB certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Background in a Joint Commission Accredited or stroke-certified facility
• Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment with diverse patient populations
