Blueprint-Driven TIG Welding Technician

In Chaska, MN, Express is partnering with a leading manufacturer seeking a TIG expert who treats every bead as a signature. Your mission: transform prints into durable, accurate assemblies using stainless steel, aluminum, and more.

Your impact

Picture this: a complex assembly hits your bench. You study the blueprint, plan the sequence, dial in machine settings, and execute precise TIG welds. You verify every dimension and finish, keep your area safe and tidy, and coordinate with the team so parts ship on time. When the line is surging, you lean in with overtime to ensure commitments are met.

Accountabilities

• TIG weld across stainless, aluminum, and additional metals
• Translate blueprints and technical drawings into accurate weldments
• Set up and calibrate welding equipment for consistency
• Inspect welds for structural integrity and conformance
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
• Collaborate to achieve production goals and schedules
• Perform spot welding as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational welding training preferred
• Demonstrated TIG (GTAW) proficiency; arc welding experience (SMAW/FCAW) advantageous
• Competence with blueprint interpretation and fabrication details
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality
• Working knowledge of welding safety standards
• AWS certification is a plus

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday, 2:30 pm to 1:00 am; OT possible
