Forklift Operators

Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill Forklift Operator positions for a Manufacturing company in Kokomo, IN. This is a Temp-to-Hire job. Apply now!

• Unload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or defects
• Verify products against packing lists, purchase orders, and delivery documentation
• Store materials and restock shelves and designated storage areas
• Prepare orders by pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing completed orders in the delivery area
• Process and load orders for shipment
• Maintain accurate records and files as assigned
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and dollies
• Identify irregularities that do not comply with work instructions, control plans, or quality standards
• Inspect material-handling equipment according to established inspection guidelines
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
• Follow all quality, safety, and workplace regulations and standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

$16.50/hour

1st Shift

Monday - Friday

6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Potential OT on the Weekends

2nd Shift

Monday - Friday

2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

3rd Shift

Monday - Friday

10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.

• Previous forklift, warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Ability to accurately inspect, count, and verify materials and shipments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify damaged or nonconforming products
• Ability to follow work instructions, control plans, and safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to safely perform physical warehouse duties, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials
• Commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards
