Job Description
Bring your precision, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset to a lean manufacturing team where every thousandth matters. As a CNC Machining Specialist II, you’ll set up, run, and refine multi‑axis mill and lathe work while owning safety and quality from first piece to last.
A day in the life- Prepare machines per Standard Work: complete setups, verify tooling offsets, and run production to spec.
- Inspect and deburr components; perform manual operations when needed to achieve print requirements.
- Select and preset the tools required for upcoming jobs to reduce changeover time.
- Update visual controls, sustain 5S, and build countermeasures that prevent recurrence of issues.
- Engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and 5 Whys to drive continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment abnormalities promptly.
- Champion safety—follow procedures and speak up to correct unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Location: Alsip, IL
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM
- Pay: $27.51–$31.24 per hour, plus $1.35/hour shift differential for 2nd shift
- Sign-On Bonus: $2,000.00 (Payment details at time of offer)
- At least 3+ years of CNC maintenance mechanic experience
- Proficiency in: CNC Tooling; CNC Programming; G-Code; M-Code; CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
- CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC)
- CNC Lathe (2–4 axis)
