Location: Stuart, FL

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable Shift | 12 hours
Schedule: 3x12 hours | 36 hours/week OR 8/10-hour shifts

Pay Rate
Local: $32–$37/hour
Traveler: $37–$41/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong orthopedic surgical experience to support surgical teams and maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient operating-room environment.
Required Qualifications
Current Surgical Technologist/Surgical Tech experience.
Minimum 18 months of surgical tech experience; 2 years preferred.
Strong orthopedic/orthopedic surgical experience.
First-time travelers accepted.
Current BLS certification – AHA or client accepted.
Willingness to work weekends as required.
Willingness to take on-call shifts based on facility needs.
Willingness to float within scope of practice based on facility needs.
Willingness to float to sister facilities when required.
Pending license candidates are not accepted.
Preferred Qualifications
NBSTSA and/or NCCT certification.
2 years of surgical tech experience.
Responsibilities
Assist surgical teams during orthopedic and other surgical procedures within scope of practice.
Prepare and maintain the operating room, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Assist with sterile setup and maintain strict sterile technique throughout procedures.
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team.
Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.
Assist with patient positioning and preparation according to facility protocols.
Perform surgical counts of instruments, needles, and sponges.
Maintain a safe, organized, and sterile operating-room environment.
Assist with cleaning, turnover, and preparation of operating rooms between procedures.
Follow infection-control, safety, and surgical protocols.
Document required surgical and patient-care information accurately and timely.
Float within scope of practice to meet facility operational needs.
Float to sister facilities when required and within demonstrated competencies.
Provide safe, professional, and efficient support to the surgical team throughout the assignment.
