About Provost Motorsports

Provost Motorsports is seeking an experienced Automotive Metal Fabricator to join its team in Woodland, California, offering $35-$40 per hour based on experience. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant metal fabrication experience and focuses on MIG, TIG, and spot welding for vehicle restoration and custom automotive builds.

The shop offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment where precision, craftsmanship, teamwork, and quality are central to every project. Key Responsibilities

  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components for automotive restoration and custom vehicle projects using fabrication tools and machinery.

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and spot welding to create strong, precise connections between metal components.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to complete fabrication work accurately.

  • Inspect completed fabrication work for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed to meet project standards.

  • Safely operate, clean, and maintain fabrication tools and equipment.

  • Collaborate with mechanics, restorers, and other team members to complete vehicle projects and achieve project goals.

  • Participate in project-planning meetings to discuss timelines, progress, challenges, and upcoming work.

  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and progress on assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant metal fabrication experience required, with skills applicable to automotive restoration and customization.

  • Hands-on experience performing MIG, TIG, and spot welding.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with mechanics, restorers, team members, and management.

  • Ability to adapt to changing project demands and work effectively in a fast-paced custom automotive restoration environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $35-$40 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
