Job Summary
The CT Technologist operates computed tomography equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients for diagnostic purposes. The technologist will perform CT examinations according to department protocols while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to department policies and protocols.
Screen, prepare, and position patients for CT procedures based on diagnosis and body part.
Operate CT equipment and laser camera systems.
Evaluate CT studies for image quality and completeness.
Perform advanced image manipulation, including 3D rendering, reformation, and reconstruction.
Send images to PACS and verify exams are complete and properly documented.
Utilize PACS capabilities effectively.
Administer contrast media as directed by the Radiologist.
Maintain radiation safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
Explain procedures clearly and answer patient questions professionally.
Maintain accurate examination and supply documentation.
Identify and resolve CT imaging or filming issues.
Maintain a clean and properly supplied work area.
Work effectively with Radiologists, healthcare professionals, staff, patients, and other customers.
Exercise independent judgment when planning procedures and resolving technical issues.
Required Experience & Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years of CT experience required
Experience with GE CT equipment
EPIC experience required
TEC experience required
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
Experience working independently in a complex technical environment
Education
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Required Certifications & Licensure
ARRT(R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
BLS

Patterns Hiring Job ID #488. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
