Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 18:45–07:15) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 44
• Monitor, assess, and respond to critically ill patients during night shift hours
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage as required by departmental scheduling
• Adhere to facility protocols including holiday coverage expectations — candidates must be available to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• In the event of an emergency, be prepared to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve as part of a designated relief team, as directed by unit management

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU specialty
• First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position
• AHA certifications are required
• Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility) to be eligible
• NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Two Manager or Supervisor references (PDF format) will be required prior to start — Charge RN references are not acceptable
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or critical care environment
