About the Role:
Pinnacle Support Services LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Specialist (DSP) to join our team in Culver City, CA. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
- Foster client independence by teaching life skills and encouraging self-advocacy
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care teams regarding client needs and progress
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; experience in human services, caregiving, or a related field preferred
- Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting their quality of life
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass a background check and any required health screenings(TB Test)
- Valid California driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Flexible schedule
- Mileage reimbursement
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
