About the Role:
Walk Of Life Residential Care Inc is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Fairfield, CA. In this rewarding ARF DSP role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals in our care during part-time weekday AM shifts. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to residents in an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) setting during during part-time weekday AM shifts,
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation
- Implement individualized care plans and support residents in achieving personal goals
- Administer medications and document accurately in compliance with facility and state regulations
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or emotional well-being to supervisors
- Facilitate community outings, recreational activities, and social engagement opportunities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive residential environment for all clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), caregiver, or in a residential care setting preferred
- Knowledge of ARF regulations and Title 22 compliance is a plus
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Must pass a background check and health screening as required by California state regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work part-time weekday AM shifts, as scheduled
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor
- Valid California driver's license preferred
- DSP 1 or DSP 2 certification preferred
- Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check and health screening/TB test
