Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in the specialty of Cardiac Cath Technicians, located in the hospital setting. This role involves supporting cardiac catheterization procedures, including heart and peripheral catheterizations, in a fast-paced acute care environment. The position requires recent experience with heart caths and peripheral caths, along with proficiency in managing Philips monitoring equipment and McKesson systems.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
- Education Requirements: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- Years of Experience: 1 year or more
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 15:30, totaling approximately 40 hours per week
- Department: Cardiac Cath Technologist suites/labs, including 2 labs, 1 hybrid room, and a 6-bed recovery area
- Responsibilities include performing and supporting cardiac catheterization procedures such as STEMI, NSTEMI, stroke patients requiring neuro-intervention, peripheral angios, line placement, drain placement, and loop recording
- Experience with Philips equipment and McKesson systems preferred
- EMR system utilized: Epic
- On-call requirements: 2-3 nights per week, every 3rd weekend, and 2-3 holidays per year
- Orientation: 32 hours (4 shifts)
- No float rotation is typically required
