Job Summary
Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT OP) This outpatient position is located at a 20-bed critical access hospital with a focus on general orthopedics, neurology, and gait therapy. The role involves assisting patients in restoring physical function through evaluation and treatment, ensuring comprehensive patient care within a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Job Details
- Position Description: The Physical Therapist assists in evaluating and treating patients to restore physical function, primarily in outpatient orthopedics and neurology.
- Required Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy; Illinois license or active application; CPR certification within 90 days of hire; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; solid computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft software; strong analytical skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a Physical Therapist; valid Illinois drivers license; ability to provide patient care appropriate to the population served; strong written and interpersonal communication skills; and the ability to evaluate and document patient status accurately.
- Responsibilities: Provide patient evaluations, develop therapy plans, assist techs and assistants, and document patient progress.
- Certifications: BLS Certification required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Submission requirements: Last four digits of SSN, professional license verification, and confirmation of active IL license or application status.
- Additional Information: The position involves 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient cases, with a focus on general orthopedics, neurology, and gait therapy. Local rate applies if the clinician's permanent address is within 50 miles. Orientation includes 12 hours guaranteed, non-billable hours, and relevant policies are in effect regarding call-offs and shifts.
