Ardor Health Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel contract in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Lawrenceville, Virginia.
Position Overview
This opportunity is ideal for an OT who enjoys working with adult and geriatric patients, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.
You'll provide skilled occupational therapy services focused on functional mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), strengthening, balance, safety awareness and adaptive techniques.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide rehabilitation services to adult and geriatric patients
- Improve independence with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting and other daily activities
- Address upper-extremity strength, coordination and range of motion
- Provide functional mobility and transfer training
- Recommend adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies
- Educate patients, families and caregivers
- Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary care meetings
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- NBCOT certification as applicable
- BLS certification if required by the facility
- Skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
