Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with 1+ years of experience and Trauma I background strongly preferred for an evening shift assignment.

Details

  • Radiology department setting performing medical imaging examinations under physician direction
  • 4x10 hour evening swing shift schedule, with start times generally at noon, 1:00 PM, or 2:00 PM
  • Weekend shifts required
  • On-call requirements apply
  • Uses EPIC charting system
  • A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty
  • Trauma I experience strongly preferred
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Current Rad Tech license required in state of practice if applicable
  • IV certification preferred
  • Must be able to carry, lift, push/pull, stand, walk, and perform manual dexterity tasks
  • Strong communication and hearing/listening abilities required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include verifying patient identification and orders, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring patient comfort and understanding throughout procedures
  • Performs radiologic exams using proper protocols, positioning, and radiation protection guidelines to ensure quality imaging and safety
  • Utilizes sterile technique for invasive procedures and responds appropriately to emergent patient situations
  • Completes accurate documentation including time stamps and image storage
  • Coordinates with other care providers and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • May assist in training students and other Radiology Techs on procedures and equipment
  • Permanent Intermountain staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
