Job Summary
The CT Technologist position is located in the healthcare facility setting. This role involves performing computed tomography (CT) scans, including fluoroscopy and operating in the operating room environment, under the supervision of the radiologist. The position requires independent judgment and technical skill to produce diagnostic images and ensure patient safety and comfort.
Job Details
- Position Description: Performs radiographic procedures such as CT scans, fluoroscopy, and intraoperative imaging. Operates computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. Positions and immobilizes patients, administers contrast media as ordered, and evaluates image quality. Responsible for all aspects of quality control in the CT area.
- Required Qualifications: Registered/certified CT Technologist, two years previous experience preferred, Satisfactory completion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA approved school, BLS Certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Position start date is 10/29/2026 and will end on 01/28/2027.
- Additional Information: The role involves substantial walking, standing, bending, and squatting. Manual dexterity is required for procedures such as starting IVs. Lifting patients and equipment and maintaining sterile technique are essential skills.
