Job Description

Business Cutover & Change Readiness Analyst

In this position our client’s Integrated ERP (I-ERP) program is standardizing global procurement on SAP and Ariba, changing how buyers and suppliers manage sourcing, purchasing, and supplier onboarding. As the business voice of the cutover, you will work with IT, Finance, MP&L, Learning & Development, and other cross-functional teams to understand what each cutover activity means for the supply chain community, and then prepare buyers and suppliers for it. This is a business role, not an IT role. You will help develop the business cutover plan, take part in Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) and other launch readiness activities, and turn what you learn into communications, training support, and leadership presentations. This role is ideal for a supply chain professional with hands-on buying experience who can translate technical change into practical impacts for the people doing the work.

What you'll do:

Plan the business side of cutover

·         Work with IT, Finance, MP&L, and program teams to understand cutover activities, timelines, dependencies, and system freeze periods.

·         Help develop and maintain the business cutover plan, including tasks, owners, checkpoints, and contingency steps for buyers and supplier-facing teams.

·         Participate in mock cutovers, dress rehearsals, and go-live activities, and track issues to resolution.

·         Identify risks and business impacts early, and escalate them with clear recommendations.

Understand and explain the impact

·         Assess what each release and cutover means for buyers, supply chain teams, and suppliers, using first-hand knowledge of buying workflows.

·         Work with cross-functional teams to map process, role, and system changes to the people affected.

·         Participate in CRPs and related launch activities, gather user feedback, and share findings with the program team.

·         Support readiness assessments, go/no-go criteria, and recommendations.

Communicate and prepare users

·         Create supply chain communications for cutover and launch events, including advisories, service interruption notices, FAQs, and what-to-expect guides.

·         Plan communications by audience and timing, covering buyers, leaders, and suppliers across regions.

·         Support training by helping to develop job aids, quick-reference guides, and sessions that match the cutover timeline.

·         Support hypercare by tracking questions and issues, and turning trends into guidance and quick fixes. Inform and align leadership

·         Build presentations and status updates for leadership on readiness, risks, adoption, and cutover progress.

·         Develop readiness scorecards and metrics covering training, communications, and user confidence.

·         Represent the business in governance, readiness reviews, and cross-functional forums.

·         Support additional launch and change priorities as the program evolves.

Skills Required:

·         SAP ERP, Supply Chain, Buyer, Artificial Intelligence & Expert Systems, Process Improvement, Transition Support

Experience Required:

·         A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.

·         Three or more years of experience in supply chain, including hands-on experience as a buyer (production, program, commodity, or indirect) and a solid understanding of the purchasing process.

·         Experience in ERP or system implementation, change management, cutover, or business readiness, or a strong interest in these areas.

·         Ability to understand technical or system changes and explain what they mean for business users.

·         Strong written communication skills and experience creating communications, training materials, and leadership presentations.

·         Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced launch environment.

·         Ability to work with global, cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, and Learning & Development.

·         Knowledge of AI and automation and how they can improve business processes and communications.

What success looks like:

·         Buyers and suppliers know what is changing, when, and what to do before, during, and after each cutover.

·         Business cutover plans are clear, owned, and aligned with IT and the program team.

·         Launches proceed with minimal business disruption and a smooth hypercare period.

·         Communications and training are accurate, timely, and reach the right audiences.

·         Leaders have clear visibility into readiness, risks, and go/no-go decisions.

Experience Preferred:

·         Experience with SAP, Ariba, or other enterprise procurement systems.

·         Experience in UAT, CRPs, mock cutovers, hypercare, or go/no-go readiness.

·         Experience with readiness assessments, adoption metrics, or Power BI.

·         Prosci, CCMP, Agile, SAFe, or similar certification.

·         Experience with supplier communications or supplier enablement.

Education Required:

·         Bachelor's Degree

Education Preferred:

·         Master's Degree
