Bathtub & Surface Refinishing Technician

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience refinishing porcelain and fiberglass bathtubs, showers, sinks, and countertops, with strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating applications, repairs, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional bathtub, shower, sink, and countertop refinishing.
• Prepare porcelain and fiberglass surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and appropriate preparation methods.
• Repair chips, cracks, scratches, and damaged fiberglass surfaces.
• Apply primers, bonding agents, coatings, and protective finishes according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform fiberglass patching, surface restoration, and removal of deteriorated coatings.
• Operate spraying equipment, ventilation systems, and required safety equipment.
• Protect surrounding surfaces and occupied properties from dust, overspray, and damage.
• Follow Cal/OSHA regulations, Safety Data Sheets, and manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and customer service.
• Coordinate with supervisors and property management to complete assignments on schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in bathtub reglazing, refinishing, resurfacing, or related surface restoration work.
• Experience with porcelain and fiberglass refinishing products and application techniques.
• Knowledge of spray equipment, coating preparation, ventilation, and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to work independently and complete projects efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and professional workmanship.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Experience working in apartment complexes, housing facilities, or public-sector projects is a plus.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional authorized weekend or after-hours work may be available.
