Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a day shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring ARRT CT and ARRT R certification.
Details
- CT Tech unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Adult Acute Care and Adult Outpatient patient populations
- Supports Emergency Department, ICU, and trauma services
- Performs abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular CT studies
- Special procedures include CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, radiation therapy planning, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
- Uses PACS and Toshiba CT equipment
- Performs multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) for image display and post-processing
- 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday through Sunday
- May float between sister facilities as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist required
- ARRT CT, ARRT R, and BLS certification required; Fluoro Permit preferred
- Compact state license required at time of submission; license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs, and venipuncture
- Experience with portables, C-arm, OR, NICU, PICU, and ICU settings preferred
- Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular studies using advanced imaging and post-processing techniques
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
- Accepts candidates within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including dates and location, if applicable
- First-time travelers may be considered
