Position Description
The CDL Truck Driver Runs a manual tractor with an end dump trailer and a roll-off truck. Hauls demolition debris, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate between jobsites, disposal or recycling facilities, and the yard. Delivers, swaps, and picks up roll-off bins. Works closely with field crews and dispatch to keep jobs supplied and cleared on schedule, while following DOT and company safety requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate CDL-class commercial vehicles.
- Drive a Class A tractor with a manual transmission, pulling an end dump trailer
- Run a roll-off truck to deliver, place, swap, and pick up bins at jobsites
- Place bins safely, with attention to ground conditions, overhead lines, access, and site layout
- Load, haul, and dump debris and materials safely, including on jobsites, at landfills, and at recycling facilities
- Tarp and secure bins and loads, and stay within weight limits and DOT rules
- Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including the roll-off hoist, cables, and hooks, and keep DVIRs complete
- Keep accurate logs, bin tracking, load and dump tickets, and hours-of-service records
- Report defects, damage, and maintenance needs right away, and help with basic upkeep
- Follow jobsite safety plans, traffic control, and spotter instructions
- Help with yard and equipment duties when not hauling

Position Requirements
Qualifications: Need to Have and Nice to Have:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Class A CDL with no E, L, Z, or O restrictions.
- Current DOT medical card
- Must pass the pre-employment DOT drug test and FMCSA Clearinghouse query, and stay in the random testing program
- Proven experience pulling an end dump trailer
- Proven experience shifting a manual tractor
- Roll-off truck experience, or the ability to qualify on it quickly
- Clean driving record that meets company and insurance requirements
- Able to work early starts, overtime, and some nights or weekends when jobs need it
- Able to climb in and out of equipment, tarp loads, and work outdoors in all conditions
- Minimum 2-3+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience required.
- Experience transporting heavy equipment/overweight preferred.
- Proven experience operating CDL vehicles and understanding of DOT safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused.
- Mechanically inclined with basic maintenance knowledge a plus.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co workers, supervisors and the general public at all times
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Selected candidates for all positions must submit to and successfully pass post offer pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background check and motor vehicle records check.
- Experience on construction or demolition site
- Experience placing roll-off bins on tight urban or commercial sites
- Tanker, doubles, or lowboy/equipment-hauling experience
- Knowledge of Oahu disposal and recycling sites and haul routes
- Basic mechanical skills
Physical and Additional Requirements:
Regular field visits to job sites with exposure to weather and construction environments.
Ability to walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
May require flexible hours, travel, and on-call availability based on operational needs.
